Shipping policy

Shipping Policy

Effective date: July 28, 2026
Last updated: July 28, 2026

This Shipping Policy applies to purchases made directly from RIZADO through www.rizado.ca.

It should be read together with our Return and Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service.

Order processing

Orders are processed on business days, Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays in British Columbia.

The estimated shipment or delivery date available at checkout or in your order confirmation forms part of your order information. Processing and delivery estimates begin after your order has been successfully submitted and payment has been authorized.

During product launches, promotions, holidays, severe weather, carrier disruptions, or periods of unusually high order volume, additional processing time may be required. We will notify you if a material delay affects your order.

Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. RIZADO may cancel or decline an order because of:

  • Product unavailability;

  • Payment authorization problems;

  • Suspected fraud or misuse;

  • An incorrect product price or description;

  • Shipping restrictions;

  • An incomplete or invalid delivery address; or

  • Another reasonable operational or legal concern.

If RIZADO cancels an order after payment has been collected, the applicable amount will be refunded to the original payment method.

Order confirmation

After completing your purchase, you will receive an electronic order confirmation or receipt at the email address provided during checkout.

Your confirmation will include or provide access to important order information, including:

  • RIZADO’s business and contact information;

  • A description of the products purchased;

  • Product quantities and prices;

  • Applicable discounts, taxes, shipping charges, and other fees;

  • The currency of the transaction;

  • The total purchase price;

  • The shipping method and delivery destination;

  • The estimated shipment or delivery date;

  • Payment information;

  • Applicable cancellation, return, exchange, and refund terms; and

  • Any other information required under applicable law.

Please save a copy of the confirmation for your records and contact us promptly if any information is incorrect.

Shipping destinations

Available shipping destinations are displayed during checkout. RIZADO may offer shipping within Canada and to selected international destinations.

The availability of a country or region in the website selector does not guarantee that every product or shipping method is available in that location. Available options will be confirmed at checkout.

We do not ship to a destination if the shipment would violate applicable law, carrier restrictions, or product-import requirements.

Shipping rates

Shipping rates are calculated or displayed at checkout before an order is submitted. Rates may depend on:

  • Delivery location;

  • Package size and weight;

  • Selected delivery service;

  • Order value;

  • Carrier rates; and

  • Available promotions.

All charges are shown in the currency selected during checkout.

Promotional or free-shipping offers are subject to their stated conditions and may be changed or discontinued for future orders. Unless expressly stated otherwise, a free-shipping promotion applies only to standard shipping within the eligible area.

Delivery estimates

Delivery dates are estimates unless RIZADO expressly identifies a date as guaranteed. Carrier estimates do not account for every possible disruption.

Delivery may be affected by:

  • Severe weather or natural disasters;

  • Carrier disruptions or labour interruptions;

  • High seasonal shipping volume;

  • Customs processing;

  • Incorrect or incomplete address information;

  • Remote delivery locations;

  • Public emergencies;

  • International border delays; or

  • Other circumstances outside RIZADO’s reasonable control.

A delay does not automatically entitle a customer to compensation, but nothing in this Policy limits cancellation or refund rights provided by applicable consumer-protection law.

Tracking information

When tracking is available, a shipping confirmation containing the carrier’s tracking information will be sent to the email address or telephone number provided during checkout.

Tracking information may take time to appear after a shipping label is created. The creation of a shipping label does not necessarily mean that the carrier has received the package.

Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking information and retrieving packages from a post office, parcel locker, concierge, or other designated pickup location before the carrier’s collection deadline.

Delivery addresses

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address, including any applicable:

  • Apartment or unit number;

  • Building name;

  • Postal or ZIP code;

  • Buzzer or access code; and

  • Recipient contact information.

Contact valeria@rizado.ca immediately if you notice an address error. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has been submitted or entered processing.

If an order has already shipped, the carrier may not permit an address change. Additional carrier or reshipping charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address may be the customer’s responsibility, except where the error was made by RIZADO.

RIZADO is not responsible for delays caused by inaccurate information supplied by the customer, subject to applicable consumer rights.

Local delivery

When local delivery is available, eligible postal codes, delivery charges, and available estimates will be displayed at checkout.

Someone must be available to receive the order when required. If the customer authorizes an order to be left unattended, the customer accepts the ordinary risks associated with unattended delivery, except to the extent that responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

If local delivery cannot be completed because the address is inaccessible, incorrect, unsafe, or no authorized person is available when required, additional delivery charges may apply before another attempt is made.

Local pickup

When local pickup is available, customers will receive a notification when the order is ready. Do not travel to the pickup location until receiving this confirmation.

The pickup confirmation will provide the location, available times, and instructions. RIZADO may request the order confirmation and identification matching the customer or authorized pickup person.

Orders must be collected within the period stated in the pickup notice. Contact us if you are unable to collect your order within that period.

International orders, duties, and taxes

International shipments may be subject to customs processing, import duties, taxes, brokerage charges, or other government fees imposed by the destination country.

Unless expressly collected during checkout:

  • These charges are not included in RIZADO’s product or shipping prices;

  • They are determined by the destination country or carrier; and

  • They are the customer’s responsibility.

RIZADO cannot control or accurately predict international customs charges or processing times. Customers are responsible for determining whether products may lawfully be imported into their destination.

If an international package is refused or returned because duties, taxes, or customs charges were not paid, any eligible refund may be reduced by original shipping charges, return-shipping costs, customs charges, or other non-refundable expenses, except where prohibited by law.

Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights applicable in the customer’s jurisdiction.

Lost or significantly delayed shipments

If tracking has not updated for an unusual period or an order has not arrived by the expected date, contact valeria@rizado.ca with your order number.

RIZADO will review the tracking information and, where appropriate, open an investigation with the carrier. The carrier may require time to complete its investigation before a replacement or refund can be issued.

Customers should notify RIZADO promptly of a potentially lost shipment. However, internal reporting timeframes do not limit statutory rights that cannot legally be restricted.

For orders covered by British Columbia’s distance-sales rules, a consumer may have the right to cancel the order if the goods are not delivered within 30 days after the supply date stated in the contract—or within 30 days after the contract date if no supply date was provided—subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law.

If an order is validly cancelled under those statutory provisions, RIZADO will provide the refund required by law within 15 days after receiving the cancellation notice.

Packages marked as delivered

If tracking shows that a package was delivered but you cannot locate it:

  1. Confirm that the shipping address on the order is correct;

  2. Check around the delivery location and any designated safe-drop area;

  3. Check with household members, neighbours, building management, or a concierge;

  4. Look for a carrier delivery notice;

  5. Contact the carrier for delivery details or proof of delivery; and

  6. Contact RIZADO promptly if the package remains missing.

RIZADO will review available delivery evidence and assist with an appropriate carrier investigation. Each case will be assessed individually based on the tracking information, proof of delivery, carrier findings, and applicable consumer-protection law.

A “delivered” scan does not automatically determine the outcome of a claim. RIZADO and the carrier may need to establish whether the package was delivered properly to the address provided.

Damaged shipments

If an order arrives damaged or leaking, contact valeria@rizado.ca within seven days of delivery.

Include:

  • Your name and order number;

  • A description of the damage;

  • Photographs of the products;

  • Photographs of the exterior shipping box;

  • Photographs of the internal packaging;

  • A photograph of the shipping label; and

  • The affected product’s lot or batch number, if visible.

Keep the products and packaging until the claim has been reviewed. The carrier may require them for inspection.

If the damage is verified, RIZADO will provide an appropriate replacement, refund, or other resolution in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy and applicable law.

Refused, unclaimed, and returned shipments

A shipment may be returned to RIZADO because:

  • The delivery address was incorrect or incomplete;

  • The recipient refused delivery;

  • The package was not collected by the carrier’s deadline;

  • Required duties or customs charges were not paid; or

  • The carrier could not complete delivery.

We will contact the customer after the shipment is returned.

If the return was not caused by RIZADO or the carrier, the customer may be responsible for additional shipping charges before the order is resent. If a refund is requested and permitted, the refund may be reduced by non-refundable original shipping, return-shipping, customs, or carrier charges.

These deductions do not apply when a full refund without deduction is required by law.

Order changes and cancellations

Contact valeria@rizado.ca as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order.

We cannot guarantee that an order can be modified or cancelled after it has entered processing or been transferred to a carrier. If the order has already shipped, it will be handled according to our Return and Refund Policy unless a statutory cancellation right applies.

British Columbia distance-sales rights

Online purchases by consumers in British Columbia may constitute distance-sales contracts under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act.

Nothing in this Policy restricts rights available under that legislation. Depending on the circumstances, a B.C. consumer may have the right to cancel an online contract if:

  • Required information was not disclosed before the purchase;

  • The consumer was not given an electronic or other written copy of the contract within the required period;

  • The contract copy did not contain the required information; or

  • The goods were not delivered within the period established by law.

When a distance-sales contract is validly cancelled under the Act, RIZADO will issue the legally required refund, without an unauthorized deduction, within 15 days after receiving the notice of cancellation.

Information about B.C. online-purchase rights is available from Consumer Protection BC.

Changes to this Shipping Policy

RIZADO may update this Shipping Policy to reflect changes in our services, carrier practices, shipping destinations, or legal obligations.

Changes apply to future orders from the date the revised Policy is posted. The shipping terms applying to an existing order will be those disclosed when the order was placed, except where a change is required by law or accepted by the customer.
